LAVA HOT SPRINGS

WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 

 

 Phase I which is the development of a land application site is 90% completed.  The city is working on funding a monopole windmill to generate power for the building on site.  

The city has executed the USDA loan/grant documents for Phase II. Loan is for $3,400,000. at 2.375% interest and the grant is $1,306,000.  Phase II will replace the main trunk line to the existing lagoons, reline the existing lagoons, and install the transmission line to the application site.  Phase II should commence construction December 5, 2011.  The cost of constuction for Phase II is $2,407,680.00.

 

SOUTH CENTER STREET RESURFACING PROJECT

 

The city has received a grant from the LHTAC program to resurface South Center Steet.  The project will be funded and under construction during the summer of 2012.
